Dr. Varsha Ganessingh was born in the beautiful tropical island country of Trinidad & Tobago. Her family migrated to South Florida when she was a teenager and she has been a Floridian since then!
After graduating from the University of Florida in 2000, she went on to pursue dentistry at Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine in Ft. Lauderdale. Four long years of intensive training later, she graduated in 2005 with her Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree. Shortly, The City Beautiful came calling and she relocated to Orlando, where she has been practicing dentistry ever since.
She is currently a member of the Florida Dental Association, American Dental Association and the Dental Society of Greater Orlando. Dr. Ganessingh has consistently been voted annually by her peers as one of Orlando’s Top Dentists. The list is published by Orlando Magazine in their April issue.

Watching my father at work as a dentist in Pennsylvania, I became fascinated with the dental field as a child. So when the time came for me to go to college, hygiene school was a perfect fit. I graduated from Valencia Community College with my RDH in 2007, where I was the class president. I was also the student delegate for the American Dental Hygiene Association, representing all of the hygiene students of Florida, Georgia, North and South Carolina. I started practicing hygiene but wanted to further my education, so I went to St. Petersburg College, where I graduated in 2009 with my Bachelors of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene.
I have remained very active in my professional association, being the treasurer for the Greater Orlando Dental Hygiene Association for the past 4 years. I currently reside in Clermont with my husband, our son Colton, and our fuzzy children (three labs and two cats). On my free time I am a team leader at the Houndhaven dog rescue, where I have volunteered for the past 7 years and have adopted my dogs. I absolutely love what I do and I strive to make it just as enjoyable for my patients.
I was raised in Traverse City Michigan, and moved to Florida 11 years ago from a small town in Wisconsin. My husband Bill and I plan on celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary this October. I have two pot-bellied pigs named Scarlett and Sherman and a cat named Smokey, which keep me amused.
I have been in the dental field for 30 years as a chair side assistant. I also have experience doing extensive lab work, and have seen many changes in the field of dentistry. I am proud to work for an office that is always up on the latest technology, and works with only the best products. I love working with people and love helping them to achieve the smile they desire.
